Laura Borghesani is the manager and trainer at Carefree Farms, located in Phoenix, Arizona. She is an equine therapist and specializes in training young horses to be confident, balanced and enthusiastic in the disciplines of eventing, dressage, and hunter/jumpers. Laura’s true passion lies with the Thoroughbred breed, and she has been retraining OTTB’s since 1998. In 2016, she competed in the RRP Thoroughbred Makeover, aboard Cinmars Dance, where they finished 2nd place overall in Dressage and 11th place overall in Eventing. Laura’s equestrian background includes training with Alice Sarno Eventing/Desert Sport Horse and she has competed up to the Intermediate level in eventing. She also has 15 years of experience with Saddleseat and Driving in Northern California and Connecticut with Morgans. Among Laura’s non-horsey highlights are her MS in Human Performance and a BA in graphic design.
