Born in Liggeringen, Germany, Arno Honstetter began his career in Europe before coming to the United States to work for NRHA Six Million Dollar Rider Andrea Fappani and NRHA Million Dollar Rider Randy Paul.  Arno is now the head trainer at Storybook Stables in Scottsdale, AZ where he operates his own business Honstetter Performance Horses. Arno specializes in the breeding, training and showing of Open Futurity and Derby Horses as well as coaching a team of successful Non Pros. 

Arno has won multiple levels of the NRHA Futurity and Derby and maintains his status as a Top 20 NRHA Professional. His current lifetime earnings in the NRHA exceed $854,000. Some of his most recent wins include:

• 2016 NRHA Futurity Level 3 Open Champion aboard Whizkey Chaser
• 2020 NRHA Derby Level 3 Open Reserve Champion aboard Special Made Whiskey.
• 2021 The Run For A Million Qualifier aboard MsDreamy, winning the freestyle reining aboard Wimpy’s High Bid (check out the video here).
