Hygain Feeds, founded in 1983 near Melbourne, Australia, is global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of premium equine feed and supplements. In 2018, Hygain Feeds International (USA) was established and has expanded distribution to more than 50 retail locations across the United States - with plans for accelerated growth. At this time, we are seeking to expand our team with the addition of a Customer Service Representative which would be based in our new office in Southern California.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Work to improve overall customer experience by fielding and relaying phone calls and emails related to orders, invoicing and equine nutrition.
  • Assist and report to Customer Service Manager or other management as required.
  • Assist with customer inquires related to products and equine nutrition and delegate to sales
  • representative or nutrition specialist when appropriate
  • Track all customer communication in Salesforce CRM (training provided).
  • Support Hygain sales team as needed.
  • Help to track physical inventory of marketing materials, feed and supplements.
  • Ship samples and marketing materials to customers and sales representatives as required.
  • Process online orders from Hygain website, Amazon, etc. utilizing provided web programs
  • Prepare parcels for shipment
  • Assist in receiving and processing products from warehouse distributors
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in customer experience


      Qualifications / Skills

      • Customer service and communication
      • Ability to lift 44 pound feed bags repeatedly
      • Process improvement
      • Strong decision-making skills
      • Ability to work independently 
      • Help desk experience


      Desired Education and Experience

      • High school diploma or equivalent required 
      • College degree or certificate preferred
      • Experience in customer service and/or sales desired
      • Experience in equine industry preferred


      Work Hours & Benefits 

      • Employee will be required to work independently on-site in office/warehouse environment.
      • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
